The Quiet Signals Teams Respond To

The Obvious Question: “How do I set my team up for success this year?”
Is it really?
In my experience, I have found that starting to create momentum at the end of the year is important.
Questions I tend to ask in December:
What are you proud of looking back across the year
What do you think we should do differently
Where do you think we should focus for success next year
What are the ways Leadership can support you better next year
If you had a blank sheet of paper, where would you start
Their buy-in starts emotionally, way before they engage operationally.
Again and again, I have found that when teams and the entire leadership are not engaged, ownership is unclear, and the expected outcomes are not well understood, initiatives face serious challenges or fail.
How is your team responding to the preparation you have completed to set everyone up for success in 2026?
